This is a really nice Vintage 8" Betsy McCall doll in New Short Set dressed for the 4th of July. The shirt opens in the back and makes it easy to dress Betsy. She has a new book called "The Dolls' First 4th" and Betsy is in it! She also has a new matching mini doll. This Betsy is strung tight, has no cracks and she has high color in her cheeks. Very delightful.

Here is an adorable 1959 American Character tiny Betsy McCall doll in her original "Recess" #8154 outfit.
She is wearing a sweet dark pink gingham dress with ric rac trim, matching panties, & original white shoes. She has a pretty face & a reddish wig with lots of original curl; her dark blue sleep eyes open & close easily. Her hard plastic body is in very nice clean condition; there are 2 tiny splits (< 1/8") on the mid lower edge of her left thigh. Her dress & panties are crisp & excellent with intact snaps in back. The vintage white strap rubber shoes are in great shape. She has the circular McCall Corp. stamp on her back.
