i got a really good question from a member asking if the doll and clothes are both for sale in this auction and the answer is yes....i can identify the clothes with the tag as betsy mccall clothes....the doll on the other hand has no markings what so ever....so i cant identify her as a betsy mccall doll.....thats the point i was trying to make.....i got this doll with the clothes on her so i want to sell her as i received her....thanks for the questions

Vintage Betsy McCall doll is made of hard plastic. This sweet, slender doll is fully jointed and bends at the knees for extra pose-ability. Her hair is dark brown. Her eyes are gray/green. She has solid plastic lashes on sleep eyes. Her face color includes soft pink cheek color and lips.
Doll's feet are flat. Her dress is not tagged but fits her well and appears to be the dress from the outfit named "Town and Country" on page 131 of Judith Izan's book, "American Character Dolls, Identification and Price Guide". Also included is a sheer chemise undergarment and a red vinyl handbag and original shoes and socks.
Doll is nearly 8" tall.
Circle mark on the back at waist level; "McCall © CORP.
Please note Betsy McCall doll's arms are detached. The old rubber band gave way while I was shooting the photos for the auction. Doll is clean. No odd or smokey odors. No chew marks or stains. Face color is intact, no rubs. Hair is tidy in original style with original metal hair barrettes in place. Doll's jointed legs bend easily. No cracks in the crotch area of the doll.
